When the heat becomes unbearable and the A/C just doesn’t cut it, there’s nothing like cracking open your window to cool off. But there’s one drawback to this solution: when you let the cool air in, you let all sorts of nasty bugs in, too.

No one wants a home filled with flies; they’re annoying and gross. Keeping them out altogether, though, tends to be a lot easier said than done.

Luckily, there’s a simple solution that stops these critters in their tracks, and it’s guaranteed to start your summer off right!

It goes without saying that most people don’t particularly like having flies in their home. Yet, every summer those pesky critters make their way into and around your house, and it’s never been easy to keep them away, until now…

Luckily, the solution to flies in your home requires ingredients that you probably already have sitting in your kitchen cupboard. So, best of all, you’re not going to even have to worry about taking a trip to the store to buy anything!

All you have to do is fill a plastic sandwich baggie with water and a few other household items and you’re on your way to a fly-free home. They can spend their time flying around someone else’s home during the summer this year…

You’re going to spend your summer thinking about all of the fun you can have, rather than the flies that are annoying you and keeping you awake at night. Say goodbye to that problem, though, because your home is about to become a fly-free zone.

For the first step, you’re going to pour two-and-a-half cups of water into a mixing bowl. Then, add a generous handful of salt and between two and three squirts of lime juice. Now, you’re going to want to mix those ingredients together well.

Once you’re finished with that, pour the solution into a plastic sandwich bag. The last step is to add some pennies to the bag. Everyone has old coins sitting around their home that go unused, now’s your time to use them!

The contents inside of each bag have natural bug repellent properties that will keep those flying pests away from your home for good! This keeps flies away by confusing them visually with the refracting light as it moves through the bag.

If you find that they’re still making their way into your home through other entrances, you can hang multiple bags around your home. This method of keeping flies out is completely sustainable, as all it takes is a small portion of ingredients.

Now, you’re going to take your bag filled with the solution and pennies and hang it above your front door or entrance to your home. Say goodbye to those flies once and for all, because you live in a fly-free zone as of today!
