Incorporating laughter into your life is so incredibly important in today’s stressful world. Many people take things too seriously, and it makes for awful company. Here’s a bit of advice: Find the time to take at least one minute out of your day to laugh — you’ll be glad you did.
The best kind of laughter is when you don’t see it coming. Someone will say something that isn’t intended to be a joke, but in the context of the situation it becomes a classic one-liner. Elderly people pull this off perfectly. Because of their age, they may be slower to react in certain circumstances, which often proves hilarious.
One elderly gentleman had trouble remembering a story he was trying to tell his friend, and he unintentionally made a hysterical quip…
An elderly gentleman was speaking to his friend, trying to describe a delicious new restaurant he and his wife dined at the night before. For the life of him, he couldn’t remember the restaurant’s name.
As he was struggling to recall the name, he asked his friend, “What do you call a long-stemmed flower people give on special occasions?” His friend responded with “a Rose?”
The elderly man was filled with excitement. “Yes, that’s it!” he exclaimed. He then turned to his wife, asking, “Rose, what’s the name of that restaurant we went to last night?”
That guy is lucky to have Rose at his side!
