Unless you’re a mechanic, chances are you have no idea what’s happening under the hood of your car or motorcycle. Not to worry: now there’s a way to see exactly what goes on inside your vehicle’s engine, and it’s so much cooler than you originally imagined!

Mechanic Petri Ranki recently designed a glass block for the twin-cylinder engine on his moped, making it possible to see the internal combustion that happens every time he revs it up.

You might not have known this was something you needed to see, but once you do, you won’t be able to tear your eyes away! Take a look for yourself…

Petri Ranki wanted to see what happens when he revs the engine of his moped—so he built a glass block to put the combustion process on full display!

You can really see the sparks fly…

Wait for what happens at the end, though, for the real surprise!

Wow, that’s so cool! Even though the combustion only lasts for a few seconds, it’s awesome to finally see what it looks like. Now you know what it means to watch an engine fire on all cylinders!
