Even the most well-meaning clowns can still frighten a lot of people. There is something about the painted skin, colorful hair, and unusual outfits that can be downright terrifying to people of all ages.

So when a clown was spotted aimlessly roaming the streets of Green Bay, Wisconsin at night, you could imagine how nervous locals were. And the worst part? Just wait until you find out…

This creepy clown was first spotted in Green Bay, Wisconsin at 2:00 a.m. on a Monday. A similarly mysterious Facebook page for “Gags – The Green Bay Clown” was created just an hour later. Each photo of Gags shows him wearing the same ragged costume and carrying ominous black balloons.

People have called 911 to report their sightings, but there isn’t much that the police can do. “A person can walk down the sidewalk dressed however they want as long as they’re in a place they legally can be, and they’re not in a place that has a closing time, like a park,” said Captain Kevin Warych in an interview.

While he may not be doing anything illegal, nobody seems to know who Gags is or what he’s doing in Green Bay.

There are two most likely explanations for Gags’ existence: either he’s an ordinary person playing a cruel prank simply trying to freak people out, or he really is a demon created by the devil himself, intending to eat our souls and strike fear into our hearts.

Regardless, just be glad that you don’t live in Green Bay!
