When it comes to your health, you can never be too careful. Even the most seemingly innocuous irregularity with your body can be a sign of a more serious problem, and the resulting pain is simply not worth the risk if you delay seeking the help of a medical professional.
Unfortunately, not everyone notices problems or symptoms until it’s too late and the damage has been done. (While we’re on that subject: don’t skip on your regular doctor checkups and physical exams!)
Thankfully, there is one part of your body that can signal warning signs about the rest of it: your feet. If you spot any of these symptoms on your foot, start marching over to a doctor, pronto!
1. If you have dry, flaky feet…
Try moisturizer before you get too worried. If that doesn’t help, this could be a sign of thyroid problems.
2. If you have bald toes…
This could be a sign of arterial disease.
3. If you have a sore that doesn’t heal…
This could be a sign of diabetes.
4. If your big toes is enlarged and in pain…

This could be a sign of gout, a form of arthritis caused by your diet. Foods high in purine such as red meats, fish, and certain kinds of alcohol (like wine) can trigger an attack. A low-purine diet can help prevent this from happening.
5. If you have tiny red lines under the toenail…
This could signal of endocarditis, an infection of the heart’s inner lining.
6. If you have a club foot…

This could be a sign of lung cancer or heart disease.
7. If you have pitted toenails…
Any small holes, grooves, or ridges in your toe nails could be a sign of psoriasis.
8. If you have spooned nails…
If you have a depression in your toenail that’s deep enough to hold a water droplet, it might be a sign of anemia or lupus.
9. If you see a straight line or a mark under your toenails…
This could be a sign of skin cancer.
10. If you have a sudden high arch on your foot…
This could be a sign of nerve damage.
Be sure to check your feet to see if you have any more serious health problems at hand. After all, you don’t want to wait to go to the doctor until it’s too late!
