If you’ve never called vegetables “cute” before, you’re not alone. We can all agree that they’re not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the word “adorable.”

But one artist is changing all of that with her incredible embroidery. With some thread, felt, and a vivid imagination, she’s transforming the way we see the art of embroidery—and maybe even vegetables—forever.

Don’t believe it? Just take a look at her work below!

Munich artist Veselka Bulkan isn’t your ordinary embroiderer.

While other artists meticulously create elaborate scenes, Bulkan does something else entirely. She moves beyond the traditional framework that has always dictated what can and cannot be embroidered.

Little vegetables—constructed from felt—are fastened onto the frame to line up perfectly with embroidered leaves. The idea is so simple, yet so incredibly original!

Here’s a look at some of her creations mid-process.

Can you imagine hanging these in your kitchen? Too cute!

Every vegetable is given such care and attention to detail. They practically look real!

The different sizes make for fun combinations.

Most people have never seen anything like these when it comes to embroidery. They’re truly adorable, and they’d make for wonderful gifts! You can check out more of Veselka Bulkan’s work here.
