I never really know what sort of finger foods to serve when I have guests over. I usually just end up with some pretzels, and maybe a few carrots and dip. I know, I know.

That’s why I was psyched when we discovered this super easy recipe for barbecue bacon meatball bombs… yeah, they’re as good as their name implies. Trust me on this.

First, get your materials together and preheat your oven to 425 degrees.

Slice up your onions like so, and remove the skin. You want to use the biggest parts of the onion for this recipe.

Dice up some of the leftover onion and throw it in a bowl with the ground beef, parsley, mushrooms, brown sugar, condiments, and bread crumbs. Then thoroughly mix everything up.

Place meatball sized portions of the mix inside each two slices of the onion.

Now, the fun part! Wrap those suckers in bacon and use toothpicks to keep everything in place during the cooking.

Cook them on an oven-safe dish for 40 minutes. Then, take them all out, cover them in barbecue sauce, and put them back in the oven to cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Garnish them however you’d like, and prepare to enjoy something heavenly.
