College Student’s Face Starts Twitching, Then Doctors Realize Something Is Very Wrong

When you're a healthy, fit person, it's easy to assume that you're safe from serious medical problems. After all, it's generally accepted that, if you're in better shape, you'll be less likely to get sick or experience any other sudden issues with your body.

Yet the truth is that, as much as we may try to take care of ourselves, no one is completely immune to the strange things that can happen to our health. Sometimes, there's nothing that we can do to prevent something scary happening to us. That was certainly the case with a young woman named Sarah Porter. She played three sports and was in excellent shape all throughout college, but something odd happened to her that she never saw coming...

Portland, Maine resident Sarah Porter currently works as a quality data coordinator for a neurosurgery clinic. She loves her job and her life, but things weren't always easy for her. In fact, it wasn't too long ago that she was fighting to stay alive!
In 2011, Sarah was like any other 20-year-old college student studying at the University of Maine. Her final exams were soon approaching, and she was doing everything she could to prepare for her tests and earn good grades.
One of Sarah's favorite things to do when she wasn't studying was to exercise. She jogged five times a week, played three different sports, and was in the best shape of her life. She was clearly doing everything she could to take care of herself... until the unexpected happened.
Things took a strange turn one day in her math class. All of a sudden, it felt as if her brain was clouding up. Once Sarah regained consciousness, she noticed that a student next to her had dropped what he was holding and was staring intensely at her.
