Man Has Vivid Memories Of A 'Past Life' That Experts Still Can't Explain

As a kid, James Leininger and his family moved all over the country. By the time he was two years old, he had lived in San Francisco, Dallas, and Lafayette, Louisiana. He was a well-traveled kid, and he'd met people all over the U.S. But even after all the flights, car rides, and new homes, it was apparent that James had way too much information in his head... He knew things that a normal two-year-old couldn't possibly know. His parents only realized something was off when James told them the graphic details of his reoccurring nightmares. Then it all started to come together.

Like Any Child

In many ways, James Leininger was just like any two-year-old: playful, imaginative, and overflowing with his own quirks and interests. There was something that made him different: his love for airplanes. His parents, Bruce and Andrea, didn't see anything wrong with it, but they knew his fixation was a bit odd.

The Power Of Knowledge

James knew oddly specific facts about aircrafts — specifically with fighter planes — and his parents had no idea where the two year learned such advanced knowledge. It's not like Bruce and Andrea were constantly watching documentaries on warfare.

Prepared To Pilot

When he was playing, James ran through perfect pre-flight checks on his toy planes. One time playing with his mom, he pointed to a specific part of a plane, named it and described its function — something Andrea had never taught him. Perhaps, his parents thought, this was all a coincidence. Perhaps he overheard the information at school or from friends, but then came the nightmares.

James In Danger

James began kicking and screaming in his bed. His worried parents came running to his rescue from the nightmare. When they finally shook him awake, he screamed in terror, "Airplane crash! Plane on fire! Little man can’t get out!" After seeing their son in so much fear and distress, the parents decided they'd dig deeper into the dream.
