A Harrowing Event At Their Kids’ High School Led Parents To Come Up With A Strange ‘Plot’

For many teens, high school is a turbulent time, filled with drama and excitement, and of course all fueled by hormonal changes! For students attending Southwood High School in Louisiana, it was mood changes that posed the biggest issue, with tempers flaring and its halls becoming danger zones for students and teachers alike. When things got so bad that the police had to rush down to the school to defuse the situation, a group of concerned fathers decided that the time had come to band together to protect the wellbeing of their kids...

Boiling point

September 16, 2021, proved a dark day in the history of Southwood High School. While high-school fights are not unheard of, the school played host to two traumatic incidents that day, the likes of which emotionally rocked the students and the faculty alike.

Early-morning brawl

At 9:30 a.m., a fight broke out among seven students. Unable to calm the situation, the teachers needed Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator to get involved. “I call them kids; that sounds innocent. Seven of these thugs were expelled or sent home,” the sheriff chillingly recalled. But the drama wasn't over yet.

The sequel

At about 3:00 p.m., an even larger fight broke out in the courtyard outside the student center. This time, Sheriff Prator had to call for backup, with nine or more deputies arriving at his side. What’s more, the fight spilled over, going beyond just the students who were directly involved in the brawl.

Threatened onlookers

During the heat of the moment, one student allegedly punched the school’s deputy principal. What's more, as the police were rounding up the brawlers, another student reportedly threatened numerous onlookers while also resisting arrest, resulting in charges being brought against him.
